Nestled on the outskirts of Skala lies a charming traditional taverna, Netia, that is truly worth the walk. From the moment we arrived, it was clear that this place is a beloved spot for both locals and tourists, often buzzing with energy. I highly recommend making a reservation, as the popularity of this taverna means it fills up quickly.

Upon entering, we were warmly greeted by Vicky, who masterfully handled table reservations, seated guests, and took orders—all while managing to engage in friendly conversation. Her welcoming demeanor set the tone for a delightful dining experience.

The highlight, of course, was the food. Each dish we sampled was nothing short of delicious, with generous portions that left us pleasantly stuffed. We often found ourselves sharing plates, and even when we indulged in ordering separate meals, we were left with plenty of leftovers. This is where the taverna truly shines; they provide takeaway cartons and a carry bag, making it perfectly acceptable to take home what you couldn’t finish.

Overall, this traditional taverna offers a fantastic dining experience filled with hearty food, amiable service, and a lively atmosphere. Don’t miss out on this hidden gem when you’re in Skala!
